First post in forever!

Brokespoke is back in biz! You can thank my lack of things to do lately. So anyways, the only thing I've been doing since school started is riding my bike to and from school, to Carytown, and meeting way cool people in the Richmond,VA area. I may be new here but I'm becoming more and more familiar with the area each day I live here. Anyways, I think I may start posting on here a lot now.

Got rid of the Cutter, cashed a check, and ordered the Charge Scissor! Clears huge ass tires(which I may or may not take full advantage of), a sloped TT, and some weird/killer geometry. It should be here in two weeks says Mark C. at iMiNUSD. He told me that the frames get to the US on Sunday and get shipped to them shortly after, so I'm estimating mine to get here in about two weeks or less.

This thing's a beast.

River City Trick Jam

For those of you who may have missed this

Should be insane. John Prolly, Ed Wonka, Tom LaMarche. Torey Thornton(hfwido) and probably a ton of other good riders that I'm missing will be in an attendance. The setup should be crazy. I heard of an 8 stair with a box going down it. Also the Death Pedal 2 WORLD premiere will be after the trick jam. And this is also all during the Noth American Handmade Bicycle Show. Should be an awesome weekend. I'm pretty sure I'll be attending and you should too.

Ordered a new hub for a new wheel set up, it's just a regular formula track hub but it will do the job. Next up: Salsa delgado cross rim and some spokes. I still have a cog and a lock ring that I can throw on there. Be back soon.

just to clear things up, what we do is NOT an FNR. so we would appreciate it if everyone would refrain from calling it that. it was never our intention to start coordinating rides like branndon did. for the true purpose of this shit refer to our first post. if you are interested in setting up a ride, we would appreciate if you would hit up someone at 7bike7.if you have been with us on the past two fridays you know that we dont do an extreme amount of riding and spend more of the time sitting , hanging out , and playing games. the bottom line is that what we do is different from the FNR's and we dont plan on taking taking charge of that or trying to take 7bike7's spot in this.

New additions to v3.5 Volume cutter.

So I have recently added some new things to my current bike and there are some up's and downs to the modifications, but I come to realize I don't really care as long as it works. So I ordered a pair of the custom bmx foot retention straps from Blaq design due to my lack of straps ever since I built the Cutter. I lurked eBay for a nice strong wheel and I bought a close to brand new Salsa Delgado laced with dt swiss spokes to a surly hub, the wheel offers a lightweight but surprisingly strong feel to it, plus you can rock a huge tire on this thing. With that said, Sandy at Conte's hooked me up with a pair of slightly used Ritchey Cyclo X tires 25$ for the pair.

Salsa Delgado wheel along with one of the nice little decals on my fork that Blaq sends with their straps, they shipped 15+ of them.

Last but not least.. the blaq bmx platform straps. I have very mixed feelings about these, yes they look like they are the same quality of Holdfast foot retention, but unfortunately, they are not. They are simple and good for the price, but if stepped on, the strap will flatten and then it's just a hassle from there. But, on the other hand, they keep my feet snug no matter what shoes I'm wearing and pretty easy to eject. These and the Burro platform straps are what's good if you have a tight budget.

The Boogeynight session

The Boogeynight session was successful! A big thanks to every one who came out. Played some fun games and wrapped it up with a little trick competition. Hopefully every one had a blast, see you guys next week.

Just heard news of cops busting a ramp we built. Seems like we've been getting kicked out everywhere. Let me know if you have any good locations in mind to build ramps and not get kicked out or have them removed.
